Dick Obendorf

Dick has a long and varied career in and around commercial real estate.   Buying, selling, leasing real estate in both Seattle and Boise for his own companies, he also formed a consulting company and worked with many private corporations, the USPS and GSA throughout the United States and Puerto Rico to resolve BOMA lease related matters for their government and private clients.

Dick has inspected 100’s of Multi-Family properties for both lenders and city governments.  As an advisor to commercial property lenders, he has analyzed rent rolls, vacancy issues, building conditions, management, marketing, and deferred maintenance on every conceivable type of property from High-Rise, Hotels, Strip-malls, Apartments, Self-Storage to Mobile Home Parks.

While acting as a business consultant, Dick focused mostly on small to mid-size companies with a variety of issues ranging from how to best grow their businesses to whether they should pass the business to the next generation, or liquidate.   Dick found this type of consulting very satisfying and is in large part the reason he joined eXp Commercial. 

Dick has two grown sons with successful careers in real estate here in the NW.  One owns several multi-family complexes and another owns his own mortgage company and a national coaching company for mortgage brokers.  

Dick’s crowning accomplishment is raising a family of 4 kids who have blessed he and his wife with 8 grandchildren.
